What is Basic Blood Relation and How to solve its Question Quickly?

The banking aspirants are required to excel in reasoning section. The reasoning section is easy and scoring if prepared well. There are certain topics which require fewer efforts and give tremendous output. Through this article we will be sharing all basic concepts of blood relation and the techniques required to solve them.

There are certain basic blood relations which every aspirant must know. The comprehensive list is given below in table.

These are the basic relations. After knowing this concept next big question is how to solve questions based on these blood relations. The questions can be framed in set of two to three questions or in form of a puzzle. The types of questions are listed below:-

  • Single or set of two questions in direct form.
  • Single or set of two questions in coded form.
  • Puzzle based questions – Direct puzzle.
  • Puzzle based questions – Mixed puzzle with seating arrangement.

In every blood relations based questions first and foremost thing is to prepare the family tree. The step wise procedure to represent family tree is given below:-

Step 1:- Read complete passage first and start with relations which are given directly.

Step 2:- Use certain symbols to avoid wastage of time in writing relations again and again. The symbols used are given below:-

Step 3:- After completing family tree start attempting questions and use this family tree to solve them easily.

Solution: – As per given family tree Meenu is wife of Mahesh.

Solution: – As per given family tree Kamal is brother of Kavita.

3. Who is husband of Sonu?

A. Mahesh.

Blood Relation Questions Mixed With Sitting Arrangement Puzzles

The blood relation concepts can be framed with sitting arrangement puzzles. This type of puzzle can be solved easily if we follow a rational approach. To illustrate it a puzzle involving blood relation is given below:-

Eight family members Ramesh, Kajal, Karan, Priyanka, Teena, Rakesh, Sonu and Garima are sitting on a circular table four of them are facing center and others are facing outwards.

Ramesh is son-in-law of Priyanka. Rakesh is brother-in-law of Kajal. Teena is sister-in-law of Ramesh. Sonu is grandson of Ramesh. Garima is sister of Sonu. Teena is sitting second to the right of her father who is facing inside. Garima is second to the left of her aunt. Ramesh is second to the left of her daughter. Kajal is facing outside and sitting between her sister and her father. Sonu is sitting to the left of his sister and facing outside. Priyanka is not sitting adjacent to her daughter.

1.Who is sitting second to the left of Kajal?

A. Sonu.
B. Garima.
C. Rakesh
D. Karan
E. Priyanka

Solution:- Rakesh is sitting second to the left of Kajal.

Step 2:- Finding sitting arrangement using statements, Teena is sitting second to the right of her father who is facing inside. Garima is second to the left of her aunt. Ramesh is second to the left of her daughter. Kajal is facing outside and sitting between her sister and her father. Sonu is sitting to the left of his sister and facing outside. Priyanka is not sitting adjacent to her daughter.
